Bishop Bell installed my pastor the late great Bishop A.C. Richards as Pastor of Bethlehem Healing Temple Church in Chicago. Bishop Bell served as Presiding Prelate of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith (1989 - 2000). He received Doctoral Degrees in Theology and Philosophy from Toledo Bible College.

"...I remember as a young minister at (Bethlehem Healing Temple Church) serving as Foreign Missions Program Chairman asking Bishop D. Rayford Bell to be our speaker for one particular Sunday evening. I remember Bishop Bell's secretary informing me Yes, Bishop has accepted your request. Bishop Bell came out and spoke a wonderful sermon even though he was physically tired from laboring at his Church that Sunday morning and afternoon. But that's the kind of man he was. He was a tough, strong, dedicated, yet gentle giant". - Jim Allen

Bishop Bell was a World renowned sought after "Apostolic Father" to thousands and was greatly esteemed by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Living Witnesses of the Apostolic Faith, as well as the Apostolic World Christian Fellowship.
