WVON Unplugged: Stokley!

On November 16, 2017, WVON 1690AM held its "UNPLUGGED" series which featured lead singer of Mint Condition, Mr. Stokley.

The concert was held at the Hard Rock CafĂ© Chicago (63 Ontario Street). The concert was organized by Daveda Flute, she's the Vice President of Brand Marketing and Event Strategies for WVON 1690AM.

The concert opened with songs by Simone Green. Her performance and song renditions were nothing short of amazing. She killed the stage, rocked the crowd, and had us wanting more. She's a Chicagoan so be sure to book her for your next event. Click link to follow her on Instagram: www.instagram.com/simonegreenlive

The place was packed with some of Chicago's leading activists, pastors, community organizers, doctors, movers and shakers. During the event, Art "Chat Daddy" Sims hosted his live radio show "Real Talk, Real People" which is one of the hottest shows on WVON 1690AM (Monday - Thursday / 6p - 9p).

Maze Jackson and Micae Brown served as masters of ceremony, they both did a masterful job. DJ Marco kept the party going. His mixing and musical catalogue was phenomenal!

Other amazing people in attendance were: Kenya Thomas MD (Unclouded Clinics), Dr. Bonciel L. Griffin-Burress (Griffin Orthodontics), Tenille Jackson (The Intelligence Group), Pastor William E. Hall (St. James Community Lutheran Church), Ken Bedford (former photographer ABC), Charles Thomas (former reporter ABC), Kamita Terrell and Katrina Terrell (TwinKonnections), Terry Bishop (Bishop Promotions), Commissioner Kari K. Steele-Jackson, as well as the legendary George Daniels.

Stokley did an amazing job! The brother is a true performer in every sense of the word.

Special thank you to Melody Spann-Cooper and her husband Pierre Cooper for sharing their platform and bringing so many special people together in Chicago on a Thursday night.
