Person Of The Week: Jourdan H. Sorrell

Jourdan H. Sorrell has proven himself to be one of Chicago's top intellectuals. His brilliance in organizing social platforms to address some of Chicago's most pressuring issues, including gun violence, economics and poverty is second to none!

If he's not helping corporations reach their goals, you can find Jourdan working with non-profit organizations fulfill their mission statement and objectives. Mr. Sorrell is indeed a highly sought after voice and think-tank in Chicago and throughout the State of Illinois. 

Jourdan is a lifelong Chicagoan with a passion for service and improving conditions for all. 

Due to his strong ties to the city,  Jourdan has devoted his intellectual and professional career to helping corporations, nonprofits, philanthropic, and government organizations achieve their goals through strategic operational efficiency and disciplined financial management.

He holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and currently completing his AM at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. 

He serves as Co Director of the New Leaders Council Chicago, a diverse progressive leadership development organization committed to developing emerging leaders that want to make the region a more inclusive and equitable place for all. He also serves on the boards of Black Tech Mecca and Go Civic Chicago.
