Apostle Kim Daniels Thanks God For SLAVERY!

Kimberly Daniels said "I thank God for slavery..." Those words are causing an uproar within the African American conscious community and among African America scholars of history as well.

Kim Daniels is an Apostle of sorts and a politician. She's served in Jacksonville, Florida City Council in 2011. Daniels is currently the State Representative for Florida's 14 District since 2016. The most shockingly uneducated statement made by Apostle Kim Daniels is the fact that spirituality in Africa doesn't involve worshipping "trees".

Africans view trees as sacred, but they don't worship them. Sort of how Americans view their Christmas trees as a symbol of joy and holiday cheer, but Americans don't worship their Christmas trees.

Kim, you may thank God for slavery, but the reality is those who actually lived as SLAVES, such as: Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington and many others who were born in slavery and emancipated, did not thank God for slavery. They actually abhorred slavery and wrote books as well as narratives about the gruesomeness of slavery!

Kim, you do realize Harriet Tubman made 18 trips back to the slave holding South and freed about 300 slaves in her lifetime? Do you think the slaves she risked her life to free thanked God for slavery?! Of course they didn't.

Kim Daniels statements relative to thanking God for slavery are reckless and beyond any type of serious historical or theological scholarship. I don't recall anyone in the Bible including Moses thanking God for slavery in Egypt! To the contrary, Moses and the Israelites thanked God for bringing them out of Egypt.

Sure, things got bad and (some) of the Israelites made comments about wishing they'd stayed in Egypt, but those comments were the words of people who suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. It's a syndrome that causes the oppressed or abused to pity and/or love their master or abuser. These types of people lack not only common sense, but also critical thinking.

The facts are from 1525 to 1866 Africans sold other Africans to Europeans to be slaves. Some 12.5 million Africans were sold by other Africans into slavery during the entire trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

2 million African slaves died in the middle passage. Some jumped ship and were eaten by sharks. Others were sick and thrown overboard as collateral damage.

Around 10.6 million Africans survived the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Hey Kim, are you still thanking God for slavery knowing that your people jumped and were thrown into the Atlantic Ocean?!

388,747 enslaved Africans were taken to North America. Out of this number comes the present 42 million African Americans now living in the United States of America. Guess what Kim, your relatives and ancestors are among that number.

1.3 million enslaved Africans were taken to Spanish Central America.

4 million enslaved Africans were taken to British, French, Dutch, and Danish holdings in the Caribbean.

4.8 million enslaved Africans were taken to Brazil.

See Kim, I think had you really known the facts about the trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and Chattel Slavery, you wouldn't of made such a dumb statement.

Kim, not only was slavery horrible, but so was Jim Crow. I presume you understand African American leaders such as Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., fought and died because of Jim Crow. I presume you know Medgar Evers was killed because of fighting Jim Crow. I presume you understand the White men who killed Emmett Till got off the hook because of Jim you thank God for that as well?

Hey Kim, have you ever heard of or read the Dred Scott decision by the Supreme Court? If not click below photo.
Just wondering if you thank God for this as well?

Apostle Kimberly Daniels, I thank God for your personal story of overcoming prostitution. I thank God for your service in the United States military. I think you are a powerful preacher; however, out of respect for those who fought and died thwarts slavery i.e. (the 186,097 African American soldiers who fought and died in the Civil War fighting the Confederacy) and those who died fighting thwarts Jim Crow, maybe you should apologize and amend your statement!
